Not a guardian beast, just a fictional portrait of my dog, Pesto. This piece was visually inspired by David Hockney‘s Portrait of an Artist (Pool with Two Figures), which I saw in London around 2016. It had a strong impact on me, so I decided to depict my dog in a similar setting - squatting at the edge of a diving board above the pool - in a way that makes the viewer wonder whether he will do it or not…
